I am a dreamer. Three years ago, I packed my bag and travelled the world.
In Latin America, I came across a long beach. Instead of beautiful endless white sand, it is full of endless trashes. The Trash Beach, along with the pure and blue sky and ocean, made me so shocked and heartbroken. I walked and had found toothpastes, bottles, slippers among them, even a plastic bottle printed with Chinese letters. Same as me, it was travelling around the world from the other side of Pacific Ocean. This picture of trash beach was so imprinted in my mind that I swore to do something, to stop pollution, to make people aware, and to clean the earth. But how? I finally found my way through the small pair of glasses － using bamboo to replace plastic as the raw material for making spectacles. We call bamboo as “Jun zi” (Gentleman) in ancient Chinese. It is able to bend and stretch, and with very light weight， therefore is the perfect choice for making the Zero Burden Spectacles.！

During the next two and half year of research and development, I had tried many kinds of bamboo, from Green Bamboo, MengZong Bamboo, to Gui Bamboo. Finally Gui Bamboo is chosen because of its good ductility and density to making spectacles. After another hundreds of experiments, I found that with the thickness of 2mm, bamboo is able to achieve its best capacity of flexibility. Afterwards, we applied three-step－radian cutting, tailored with everyone, to best fit with your face, therefore no more push and pull of glasses. Finally, the spectacles are presented without any painting, so as to keep the unique natural feeling of bamboo, as well as making it able to absorb sweat and let the skin breathe. We also promise to provide lifelong service for the bamboo spectacles. You would never need to change the spectacles due to wear out, so as to help us reduce waste for the earth.So this is my story of the first pair of flex, light and fitting Flex Bamboo Spectacles. Hope you like it!
